eBay university goes upmarket

No primary category set

For those that have attended eBay University in London the memories of the New Connaught Rooms in Covent Garden may not be the best. Admittedly last year they were undergoing renovations but with miles of corridors and bottleneck stairs they’re not the ideal venue. It appears eBay have been shopping around and TameBay can exclusively reveal the proposed venues for 2007

eBay University will visit the Ricoh Arena in Coventry again, with easy parking and a sumptuous entrance it’s a venue worth visiting. London (traditionally the venue with the biggest number of delegates) moves to the Business Design Centre in Islington, a much more modern setting although we’d suggest you don’t travel by car. Glasgow will be hosted at the prestigious Scottish Exhibition and Conference Centre and attending the Manchester eBay University will see you visiting the Manchester International Convention Centre.

We know many eBayers arrange social events around the date of the Universities, especially the popular London destination. Islington is the perfect venue with a host of pubs in the vicinity.

  1. Chris,

Thanks for this. I think a visit to London one evening soon to check out these good pubs is in order, oh and to find this new venue as i’m bound to get lost on the day :-S

  2. There used to be a cocktail bar in the BDC called Filling Station.
I fell down those steps once. 😀

There was a very good Irish pub around the corner in Liverpool Road called Minogues, but looking at beerintheevening, it looks closed 🙁
