eBay Australia is the latest site to announce price changes for the new year, as ever valid from March 1st. There are some interesting innovations:
- Motors get a new, super-long fourteen day listing duration.
- European-style “value packs” of listing upgrades are made available. Gallery, Subtitle and Listing Designer combined will be AU$0.99, a saving of AU$0.19.
- Real Estate listing fees are slashed from AU$75 to AU$49.95, which includes a huge number of listing upgrades. Classified Ads are also being introduced into this same category. Sadly I haven’t a clue about the Ozzie real estate market, but it looks like eBay are gunning for their share of it.
As with changes made recently on various European sites, it’s interesting to see eBay trying a range of different changes, both in pricing and listing styles. Everything appears to be, as Bill Cobb likes to say, on the table.
