There are rumours circulating that in the near future Skype will be available on the Sony PSP. A poster with the handle MaTiAz has decrypted a file shmain.prx from the PSP firmware version 3.10 and found references to Skype embedded in the code. This isn’t the first time that enterprising enthusiasts have deduced new innovations from current PSP code. Developers have a habit of including future functionality in code releases even though it’s not enabled.
The question is where next for Skype? What other game consoles will it be enabled on? And more to the point the PSP doesn’t have an inbuilt microphone so should eBayers be stocking up on them ready to meet demand?
