In the run-up to Red Nose Day on Friday 16th March, eBay have recruited the likes of Lenny Henry, Stephen Fry, Joanna Lumley and Mr. Bean to show how you can help raise money for Comic Relief through eBay. Here’s how to get involved:
Donate between 10% and 100% of the final selling price when you list an item. To match your generosity, eBay will donate the same percentage of selling fees to Comic Relief, and they’ll list your item on a special Comic Relief page so buyers can find it more easily. This is a great way to get more traffic to your auctions, with a link from the official Comic Relief homepage to eBay promoted listings it’s worth donating some stock to this cause. Ok so that’s the mercenary side of me talking, but it’s true you can drag buyers into your eBay shop and increase sales of non-charity listings as well as supporting a worthy cause! 🙂
Look out for items where money’s going to Comic Relief and get bidding! The easiest way to do this is to visit the special Comic Relief page featuring items where some or all of the final selling price is being donated. Comic Relief are also selling a whole of load of special items including the Ford Cortina from Life on Mars and the tracksuit top Kate Moss wore during her appearance as Vicky Pollard’s sister in Little Britain’s Charity Gala.
The money you raise will help poor and disadvantaged people across the UK and Africa turn their lives around.
Visit the eBay Comic Relief page to get involved and help raise as much money as possible for this fantastic cause.
