It’s here – the FireFox companion for eBay is now available to download for users in the UK. As predicted by Tamebay in February it provides similar functionality to the eBay toolbar for Internet Explorer.
Currently the Firefox Companion for eBay is being tested and is in Beta, so we’d recommend if you want to test it you don’t use your main work PC. It’s a very welcome development for all the FireFox users who can now get the same features previously only available in Internet Explorer.
You’re always securely signed in so you can check out your progress whenever you like. Customise your alerts so you never miss a bid. Be told when an auction you’re bidding on is about to end.
Stay up-to-date
Never miss the eBay action. No matter where you’re browsing, and whatever you’re doing online, you can get an at-a-glance update on all your eBay activities: watching, buying or selling.
Safer browsing
You’re safer with the Firefox Companion. You’ll know you’re on a genuine eBay page and not a spoof site or lookalike. When you’re using Firefox you’re also at less risk from pop-up ads, spyware and other web threats.
There is also a French version and German version of the Firefox Companion for eBay, if you’re in the US you’ll have to wait until later in the year for a US version.
