Julie Flood may be interested in the new Local Services category on eBay, in particular the Babysitting/Child Care category that is about to be introduced. However she’s unlikely to be able to use eBay as she’s about to go to jail for fraud having admitted 27 counts of theft from selling non-existent holidays on eBay.
Flood from Maidstone in Kent will be sentenced on 1st August for obtaining £42,000 by deception and has been advised to make childcare arrangements for her 12 year old daughter as she will almost certainly be sent to prison. Whilst this case has taken some time to get through the court system with the offences occuring in 2004 – 2005 hopefully it will reinforce the message that eBay is not the place to rip people off. Sooner or later you will be caught.

I read your comments and those of other “news” media about Mrs Flood. Having been a close personal friend of hers for some time, I am affronted at the appalling way her case has been mis-represented by the media. What has been published is not the truth and you would do well to check this before writing such articles. I agree with your comments that ebay is not the place to rip people off, I am a seller and buyer myself. However, please be more sensitive when reporting news and check your facts first. Thank You
