The fee changes in Toys and Photography categories kick in today, lower insertion fees and higher final value fees. It’s not entirely unheard of when fee changes occur for incorrect fees to be charged, and today is no exception.
Sellers are still being charged the normal fees instead of the promotional fees which run from today until the end of the year. eBay are working to fix the glitch but have promised to refund any overpayment of listing fees to sellers accounts as soon as possible. The good news is that if you make sales and under pay on Final Value Fees they won’t be looking to make up the shortfall and request you pay the difference at a later date! 😀

how will this work – do we need to keep an eye on how many items we list until the promo fees are working? – i was planning to list at least 700 items this week thats £175 over payment?”??!?
Hi toynostalgiaman, I’d happily list away and trust to eBay to automatically credit you. It’s quite simple (in a complex way) for them to run a program to credit all applicable listings. You don’t have to check em all, just watch for a ton of credits to hit your account in the future 🙂
Good news – if you were charged incorrectly you’ll receive credits to your account by November 30th at the latest 🙂
Bad news is you may have to pay an invoice prior to then, but think of the smaller invoice you’ll have in the run up to Christmas when the credits come through. 😉 All further fees will be correctly charged
