ParcelForce affected by postal strike action

ParcelForce are not on strike, the action is limited to the Royal Mail. However ParcelForce are struggling to keep up with the extra demand from customers who would normally use Royal Mail services. ParcelForce are unable to accept bookings for courier services except from their existing acount customers. They’ve made the following announcement on their website:

You may have seen details in the press about the industrial action within the Royal Mail Network from Thursday 4th through to Tuesday 9th October.

As a result of the above situation, however, we are expecting an unprecedented demand for our services on the days when the industrial action in Royal Mail is taking place. To ensure that we can protect quality of service for all of our customers, we will not be able to accept same day ad hoc collection requests via our website or on the phone on the affected days.
