UK/US visibility in more categories

No primary category set

eBay UK have just announced that more categories will have their listings shown automatically on eBay.com. Items located in the UK listed in the following categories will show in default searches, so long as they offer PayPal and list shipping rates to the US:

  • Books, Comics & Magazines -> Antiquarian Books (Pre-1940)
  • Books, Comics & Magazines -> Comics
  • Wholesale & Job Lots -> Antiques & Art
  • Wholesale & Job Lots -> Collectables
  • Wholesale & Job Lots -> Dolls & Bears
  • Wholesale & Job Lots -> Pottery, Porcelain & Glass

This is in addition to the categories announced last October.

Edited to correct: There won’t be any additional changes for US sellers, because their items were already visible. eBay.com has a different category structure to that of eBay.co.uk, so US listings for comics and collectable books already showed on UK under the Collectables category. “Wholesale” is included within the main category, not as a seperate section (e.g. Dolls & Bears > Wholesale, not Wholesale > Dolls & Bears), so again these US listings were already showing on eBay UK.
