One month’s sponsorship of a Twitter account with 500 followers aff_link("https://cgi.ebay.com/Sponsor-My-Twitter-Profile_W0QQitemZ130226246129QQihZ003QQcategoryZ102333QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem","has sold on eBay for just over $1082.01","twittersponsor","UK"); ?>. The lucky winner will get the background of Ian Schafer’s Twitter page and his avatar replaced with the images of their choice. At time of writing, the account has 503 followers; more than $2 a follower does seem rather expensive, especially when there is no guarantee that any of them actually visit Twitter to see Ian‘s updates.
Still, if anyone wishes to sponsor TameBay’s Twitter feed, please get in touch! And here’s some help for those wondering exactly what is Twitter.

It has been amazing to track Twitter’s swift rise these past few months, and this suggests that it might not be just a flash in the pan.
Although one has to question whether taking payment is against the Twitter Ts&Cs…
I’ll buy you a pint at the Elephant and Castle if you change your background and avatar to the US National Team badge.
He he – nice offer 🙂
Do you mean buy everyone that turns up a pint? 😀
You humiliated us at Wembley. A single pint is enough tribute after that. 😀
If you didn’t know, Chicago is the home of US Soccer, and the future home of your Olympic stadium. 🙂
“US” and “soccer”, Sachin? Are you sure those words go together? 😀 (Sorry we sent you the Beckhams though LOL)
Re. Twitter, I’m slightly freaked out that a year ago, I couldn’t see the point, and now, I can’t seem to stop.
The men in white coats will come along and take you all away soon.
It is predicted today that twitter will fall over when Steve Jobs starts talking about the new iPhone. The geeks will inherit the earth!
I heard they’ve hired an extra hamster wheel, Jamie, so it should be okay 😆
So we should brace ourselves to see the ‘fail whale’?

They really do reckon they have it covered, but my money’s on the whale.
