Bill & Meg show there's life after eBay

Online travel company Orbitz have appointed Bill Cobb to their board of directors. Bill served as President of eBay North America until January, and had previously held a number of positions withing the company, including senior vice president and general manager of eBay International and senior vice president of global marketing.

Steve Barnhart, President of Orbitz Worldwide, said that he looked forward to benefiting from Bill’s advice and counsel. Orbitz own a number of online travel brands, including ebookers and cheaptickets.com.

Bill’s one-time boss Meg Whitman has also been mentioned several times recently as a possible Vice-President for Republican candidate John McCain.

    We still need your help with the transaction fraud and security thing here.
    The TRS “trust score” framework could of course also be used to gauge customer sentiment in the travel industry. There is also the element of industry (seller) accountability that is built into its framework. I dont have start up money and I know this would be like falling off a log for you.   2. #1 your attempt to start a business relationship is inappropriate here in my opinion.

    Added to this I find your attempt to build a transaction reporting system foolhardy given your poor feedback record using the existing system, if anything you personally are going to get worse reviews.

  3. My apolgies if anyone is offended.
    My record is well above average but has been at risk in some of the more troublesome categories.
    A perfect transaction history score would not be subject to misinterpretation.
