eBay Germany have announced that their long-running promotion of 1c insertion fees with free Gallery has been extended until 24th September. The promotion is valid for sellers offering PayPal as a payment method, in the categories:
The offer is valid for business sellers’ auction and Buy It Now listings only.

It must be working! Or they can’t end the promotion out of fear that the house of cards would fall.
Sorry, just kind of grumpy today.
If they do the same thing with the UK free Gallery promo that’s due to end in September, I’ll be a happy seller, Randy. I think the site needs Gallery more than eBay needs those fees.

Since eBay can not guarantee item visibility with their de-duping announcement, a good counter to seller complaints would be charge no listing fee or a very low listing fee. I have high hopes eBay will make this a 2008 Q4 announcement.
