Where’s the ?

For those who

  1. missed the logo,
  2. didn’t already know that eBay UK’s Xmas slogan is “guess what” and
  3. couldn’t read that execrable writing as they were sprinting for their train,

this cake frill round a tree is meant to make you do your Christmas shopping on eBay. Just so you know.

  1. Flaming great bus with this guess what ebay thing plastered all over it nearly knocked me over in Edinburgh,
while I was gawking at another flaming great bus ,with the guess what thing plastered all over it

  2. Eddie: what illustrious company!

Me, Richard A, and Tamebay’s very own Chris and Sue.

That would be a great desert island! We may leave the elf costumes behind though.

  3. Saw one of these at King’s Cross the other day and assumed that I’d just missed the “fun activity” because I wasn’t around at rush hour. Didn’t realise that really was as good as it would be getting.

  4. Looking at that makes me think “Guess what’s going to make your fees go up again?”

…. and they didn’t even join it up properly – the left side of the picture has a misaligned join

Oh well – I guess they at least tried “local” advertising – has to be cheaper than a TV slot?

  5. What proof do ebay have that they are 25% cheaper on new items ?

My experience is that you can find most new items cheaper elsewhere, by checking sites such as Hotdeals or Moneysavingexpert.

Ebay should be advertising the rare hard to find unique items you can find on the site

Naive buyers may think they are getting, say a camera, at a 25% discount, but this will invariably be from a HK seller with high postage, duty and vat payable, certainly not the best Ebay experience

  6. ROFPMSL #1 😆 😆

That is soo funny, been in London this weekend and the only eBay I saw was on my woolly hat 😀
