Are you kidding me? 5 months pay, Many of these workers laid off were in higher ranking roles such as developement, administraitive positions & research .. some have been there for several years or since the beginning.. many of these were some of eBay’s best & brightest that are now gone.. Those that are now gone were very loyal to the company, They’re gone only because eBay wants no traces or connection to the old eBay, These employees only crime was to represent of where eBay came from, the eBay most everybody once loved .. My contact there, now gone, literally worked her fingers so to say to the bone only for her love of eBay .. She was there nearly as long as Griff himself, why is she gone? Because she questioned WHY? So for 11 years of loyal, faithful service with thousands of hours of free over time, she gets 5 months pay (which I doubt it was 5) to compensate for being thrown out the door one morning like a criminal, but also with the threat on their backs that their eBay employee confidential contract about non disclosure was still in tact , so you cannot say a thing about anything that has to do with eBay including the layoff (really firing) .. You bet, They really know how to treat an employee .. sure …….. Allan Kraig
If employees voted eBay into the top 100 companies to work for, then I guess sellers (paying customers) weren’t making enough “noise” to unsettle the employees’ belief in the ethics and standards of the company?
too right!
I have been working for them 24/7/365 for the last 10 years, and they really dont charge me that much for the privilege 😆
