No primary category set

Is your category on the list? has announced various changes to subcategories and item specifics which will roll out in the week commencing 22nd September. Lots of categories are affected, and a full list of changes can be found here.

eBay UK has announced that there will be changes in Books, Comics & Magazines, Home & Garden, Tickets & Travel and Property.

A definitive and detailed list of the category updates will be available by the end of August 2009.

It didn’t take long for the “two lots of announcements a year” promise to slip, did it?

Ticket sellers must list date as custom item specific

We do know already that sellers in the ticket category will have to list the date of their event as a custom item specific.

  1. Changing condition or category resets your best match score. Are sellers affected by these changes going to lose their best match placement?

  2. they need to also change:

    1. Suits / Suit Jackets.

    I spend all day telling people a jacket is not a suit, because ebay use the saem shared item specific for both….

    2. Would be nice to have UK and Euro shoes sizes on one item specific
