I’ve just listened to a very interesting interview on Alex Bellinger’s SmallBizPod, a podcast, blog, news and community site for small businesses, start-ups and entrepreneurs.
Our very own Sue Bailey and our chum Dan Wilson joined Alex to discuss setting up a business on eBay with tips and tricks for getting up and running as smoothly as possible. The one thing that struck me is how much eBay has changed over the years and it was a sharp reminder that in the past it was easy – you listed a product and it sold. Today eBay is very different though with both listing strategies, payment, feedback all playing a major part in a sellers strategy.
Even for existing sellers it’s well worth a listen – not only for some nostaliga on how eBay used to be but also for a reminder of what sellers need to be focusing on today, and not surprisingly it’s not all about eBay.
