Adobe buy Omniture

Omniture announced this week that they have been acquired by Adobe, in a deal that values the web analytics company at $1.8 billion. Shantanu Narayen, Adobe’s CEO, called the acquisition a “game changer” – though others have questioned the wisdom of the purchase.

eBay sellers, by and large, will be hoping that Omniture’s tracking service, which has been broken for months, will be restored to some kind of functionality.
