eBay plug PayPal credit card in payment options

Bill Me Later hasn’t made it to the UK yet, but not to worry – if you’re looking to buy something on eBay that you can’t afford there’s always the .

Links have started appearing on eBay under the payment options to the PayPal credit card sign up page. (Many thanks to Sean of I.S Electronics for the image.) Unlike Bill Me Later it’s not possible to use the card to pay directly on eBay, however it can be use to fund a PayPal account or of course for direct payments to sellers with a merchant credit card account.

In essence it’s simply an advert for the PayPal credit card thinly disguised as a payment method. The question is what happens when a buyer tries to pay with a PayPal credit card and the seller doesn’t have a merchant account?
