They’re also advising sellers to inform buyers when their items are despatched (If you use Selling Manager Pro use automated despatch emails) and the likely hood of delays.
Royal Mail say that they are doing all they can to maintain mail services to customers wherever it is possible for them to do so safely. They are continuing to accept, prioritise and wherever possible deliver premium services including Special Delivery, but the delivery guarantee has been suspended for items posted yesterday and today.
Royal Mail have regional recovery plans in place which include moving and delivering any mail delayed in the order it was posted. In the mean time in some areas it’s not safe for some business collections due to road conditions, but businesses are encouraged to take their mail to Post Offices or mail centers.
Although the entire country is affected to some extent, the worst affected areas are South West and South East England, Wales, Scotland, North West England, Yorkshire, Berkshire, Oxfordshire, Gloucestershire, Hampshire and Wiltshire
