Royal Mail reinstate Special Delivery Guarantee

No primary category set

Royal Mail are reinstating the Special Delivery guarantee for items posted from today for delivery on Monday, saying that conditions across much of the UK have improved sufficiently for them to do so. They are continuing to deliver any mail delayed due to the weather in the order it was received and say they’re recovering their normal service quickly in the worst affected areas.

They’ll continue with business as normal, but there may be still some areas of the country where they can’t safely collect from business premises and advise customers where local access roads are unsafe to drop mail at local Royal Mail depots or Post Offices.

With a bit of luck by next week the snow will be a (un)happy memory and we can all get back to business as normal.
