eBay.com are running yet another aff_link("https://pages.ebay.com/promo/50auctions10/","cheap listing day","","UK"); ?> over two days for auction listings. There’s 50% off insertion fees on the the 9th and 10th February, but sellers have to be either too new to have a DSR rating, or have a 12 month rating of 4.5 or above on all four criteria.
With Shop Inventory format ending on eBay.com at the end of March, and all fixed price listings appearing in core search results it’s an ideal time for sellers to experiment with auctions. From experience they not only get guaranteed visibility when the item is about to end, but can also increase sales on similar or related fixed price items.
There aren’t likely to be many more cheap or free listing days in the future. For casual sellers auction listings on eBay.com will be free, and business sellers will cease worrying about insertion fees as they have in the UK

If ebay really wanted to have a sale that meant something they would leverage their relationship with the post office and have a 25% off shipping day on items that were listed on a specific day. This would only occur of course if you used their shipping service but I do know that having something off the shipping would really encourage me to list like a beast for that day.
