Last night was the gala dinner and awards ceremony at E Commerce Expo hosted by One Show presenter, Hardeep Singh Kohli and eBay won the award for the “Best e-commerce Marketing Initiative”. The judging panel was recruited and managed the IMRG and the award was for the eBay Fashion Outlet.
The award was presented by James Scot of ChannelAdvisor who didn’t know in advance who had won. James told us “It was a pleasant surprise when I opened the envelope and saw that eBay Fashion Outlet was the award winner. I’d like to congratulate everyone involved from eBay and look forward many more success stories as the Outlet initiative continues to gather pace.”
For the eBay Fashion Outlet to win shows just how much that section of the site has progressed in the past year and that it’s not just those of us who trade on eBay that are aware of the marketing around eBay Fashion. Other award winners included household names such as Marks and Spencer, B&Q, DPD Couriers, ASOS and Ocado.
Congratulations to the team at eBay for winning the award, which is especially deserved when considering the recent makeover of the Fashion Outlet.

So ebay won an award for sticking pictures of badly-dressed women up in bus shelters? Sounds about right.
