eBay.com selling restrictions for iPad 2

No primary category set

Ahead of the March 11th release date for the iPad 2 eBay.com have announced for the device. Although most sellers will be allowed to sell the iPad 2 there will be restrictions designed to protect buyers from sellers unable to supply:

  • Apple authorized resellers will be allowed to list up to 50 items per week.
  • eBay Top-rated sellers will be allowed to list up to 4 items per week.
  • All sellers meeting minimum performance standards will be allowed to list 1 item per week.

Sellers who do not meet the minimum selling standards (which are displayed on the Seller Dashboard in your My eBay) will be prohibited from selling the iPad 2 during the initial launch period.

The iPad 2 release date for the UK is the 25th March and we’d expect to see similar selling restrictions announced for the UK before that date.
