Canada post disrupted with strikes in Winnipeg

No primary category set

If you sell to Canada then you need to be aware that Canada Post is suffering disruption from industrial action.

Last night about 150 Canada Post workers downed tools in Winnipeg, chosen as the first city to strike because it was the first city to be hit by Canada Post’s modernization program.

In a last ditch attempt to reach a negotiated settlement Canada Post has offered compromises and improvements to the Canadian Union of Postal Workers.

US Postal Service and Royal Mail rely on Canada Post members to deliver mail from customs to their Canadian destination but the disruption will not affect most couriers including UPS and FedEx.

eBay say that there will be and when buyers leave feedback and that they’ll liaise with the Seller Standards team to ensure that Canadian sellers do not lose status due to postal disruption-related issues. However for International sellers shipping to Canada you probably need to step up communications to Canadian customers.
