eBay are having problems with gallery pictures not being displayed. In some instances you can see the gallery picture but not on the listing. In other cases where you have multiple images in the eBay hosted pictures some but not all are being displayed.
In other instances the gallery image is being displayed, both in search and on the view item page, but the thumbnail is missing. In other instances even if the gallery image is shown in search it may not be visible on the view item page.
If you spot missing images in your own eBay listings don’t try to fix them at the present moment in time. eBay are aware of the issue and are working to resolve the glitch, although currently we don’t have an estimate as to how long it will take to correct the errors.
You are also likely to get a warning when listing new items on the site that there is a problem with your gallery images. Whether this is likely to be permanent or if it will be fixed when the site glitch is mended we don’t currently know.

Thanks for this update, listed a couple of items this morning and noticed after about 11:30 problems with the gallery pics. Just uploading some more now but was looking to see if it was just me or if it was an eBay fault.

This is a good argument for having images in the template section as well as in the hosted section.
It is also good to observe that Ebay really crunches images down and reduces the quality in their picture hosting.
Images hosted on your own website are also easier to data manage, as well as displaying to a much higher quality.
Well it looks like a load of the listings I did today were missing pictures – just had to edit them to replace the gallery pictures. Worth checking your listings from today.
I had to do this yesterday so it seems that the glitch has been going for 24 hours at least. I have not listed anything today on eBay as I can’t be bothered to waste time messing around if eBay have these sort of tech issues that requires doing everything twice.
I’ll stick to listing only on my website until its sorted.
We’ve been having a problem with missing images on eBay for over 6 months, mainly on Multi-Variation Listings.
Ebay’s response is the same everytime, close the listing and relist.
