PayOffline was launched in 2007 designed as an alternative way to pay in cash for shoppers who were scared to make online payments. Rather than entering your credit card details online you simply selected PayOffline at checkout and printed out a barcode enabling you to pay in cash at any Post Office or a scattering of local shops.
Now PayOffline have emailed all of their merchants announcing the service will be terminated as of 31st March 2012. They cite “various commercial reasons” as the reason for ending the service, and it’s probably true that many who in the past were distrustful of online shopping are now more than happy to use services such as PayPal or just have a spare credit card with a low limit to use for online activities.
If you’re a PayOffline merchant you’ll need to remove the facility from your checkout flow in the first three months of 2012.

Thanks for posting Chris. I received an email from them but wasn’t sure if it was true as I couldn’t find anything on the website about it.
I am a bit sad to lose PayOffline as I have had customers use it however I have also had customers who didn’t have a clue how to use it!
