eBay UK Introduce “My Vehicles” feature

No primary category set

In mid March eBay will be introducing a sophisticated new buying experience, which will capture a buyer’s vehicle details and provide personalised search results when a buyer is searching for Vehicle Parts & Accessories.

My Vehicles is designed to make it easy for buyers to find parts and accessories which fit their own specific car. Once they’ve defined key vehicle information for multiple vehicles they can then choose one of their saved vehicles from My Vehicles to quickly search for relevant Vehicle Parts & Accessories items. A maximum of five vehicles can be added in eBay Motors for each buyer account.

For sellers this means that it’s more critical than ever to ensure you complete the fitment information when listing car parts and accessories on eBay. If this information is missing then your products simply won’t be found when a buyer is looking for parts for their car.

eBay Motors is big business in the UK and has the same potential for explosive growth that Fashion has seen over the past few years. eBay.com has had this new feature for some time and it’s proved so successful in selling parts that they’re currently running a promotion in the States to win a 2012 Dodge Challenger R/T worth $29,995. Each time an eBay.com user adds a car to their “eBay Garage” they get a free entry into the competition.

Buyers will be able to start adding cars to their eBay UK My Vehicles and from mid May buyers will be able to access My Vehicles directly from search results pages.
