Marks & Spencer have launched a new M&S Outlet section on their website powered and with delivery by Amazon.
Prior to its new online presence, M&S Outlet had previously only operated through its 50 stores across the UK – the new website complements the existing offer and responds to the increasing trend of customers shopping for bargains online. Now you can buy over 1,300 items from the M&S Outlet online, across the M&S range including womenwears, lingerie, menswear and kidswear, at heavily discounted prices. The ranges featured will be regularly refreshed with quality products from recent M&S collections
The M&S Outlet website is powered by Amazon Webstore and boasts “M&S Products – Outlet Prices – Checkout and Delivery by Amazon“. 247 Topseller were chosen to help launch the M&S Outlet webstore. In partnership with Amazon Webstore technology and using Amazon Fulfilment (FBA) for pick, pack and delivery, 247 Topseller worked closely with M&S to complete the website design, technological integration and product catalogue management work.
We are delighted to work in partnership with M&S to deliver such a detailed project from concept to launch. The dedication of M&S, Amazon and our development teams ensured success for all involved
William Higgins, 247 Topseller Commercial Director
I find it interesting that M&S chose to work with Amazon and 247 Topseller. For a major retailer to choose to use the Amazon platform shows a high level of trust in the solution. M&S clearly believe Amazon can deliver the very best in customer satisfaction and mirror M&S levels of customer care. It’s certainly a big win for both Amazon and 247 Topseller.

Interesting strategy to create your own outlet store when a site like eBay already has millions of buyers shopping in its own brand outlet. I wonder what the M&S marketing budget will need to be to drive sufficient sales volume to make this standalone site a success?
I guess this is a consolatory win for Amazon as the main M&S business is moving off the old enterprise Amazon webstore platform in the next year or so.
Would also be interested to know if 247TopSeller’s involvement was just the design / customisation of the Amazon webstore, or whether M&S also is using the 247 platform to manage product listing, stock updates and order management for the outlet?
James.
M&S & Amazon is not a new thing, their main marksandspencer.com website is already run by Amazon
Looks very nice, but try searching by size. As a big guy I try and search first for items that will fit and then select from the options.
Unless I can search by size I am not going to waste my time looking at products only to find they dont have my size in stock.
