Late in 2011 we reported that Alibaba.com had introduced an inspection service for merchants. Often, buyers on Alibaba are concerned that the stock they have bought is not as expected or of the appropriate quality. The accredited inspectors will examine the goods before they leave China and provide you with peace of mind. One of the key aspects of the Inspection Service is that the inspectors have paid a bond that customers can draw upon if they aren’t happy with the delivered goods.
From April 26th to May 26th, Alibaba are offering the Inspection Service for just $1. It’s a great opportunity to check out Alibaba’s offering and see whether it’s for you. You can find out about the offer on this page.

But who inspects the inspectors?
Hi guys
Escrow Service makes sure that your payment is held securely and released to the inspector only after you confirm satisfactory receipt of the inspection report.
Hope this clarifies

So what specification are the inspectors going to inspect to? Presumably it will have to be provided to them by the seller, so how does anybody know that it’s what the buyer is expecting to receive?
