It’s time to step up communications with your customers as snow hits the North of the country just as we’re heading into a double bank holiday weekend.
Doubtless there will be people in Southern England watching the rain fall just as the hose pipe ban kicks in that are blissfully unaware that Yorkshire has had it’s heaviest April snow fall for more than 30 years with the M62 in Manchester having been closed for several hours today. They’ll probably be equally forgetful about the Easter Break which they’ll doubtless enjoy but still wonder why their online purchases take a few days longer than usual to be delivered.
The best solution is as ever to communicate with customers and it’s at times like this I wish eBay had kept the ability for bulk emails to customers. However you can still add a message to the Order update email which is triggered when you mark items as despatched. Just don’t forget to remove or update the message after the snow or at the end of the Easter break.

I can look forward to more redundant emails landing in my inbox then.
Send out emails in future and loose your auto 5**** dsr rating for communications.
Nice one ebay. Penalise sellers for keeping buyers informed.
It should be the other way around. Auto 5**** dsr ratings if you do communicate!
