If you fancy taking your entire family holidaying in your own village tucked away in the Tuscany hills then you’re in luck. The surrounded by oak trees sits at an altitude of 850 metres and stunning views over the Casentino valley is up for sale on eBay Italy.
It’s a bit of a bargain at €2.5 million and as it’s a classified ad type listing there’s room for negotiation. For around £2 million you’re getting 25 buildings in various stages of dilapidation along with 8 acres of land. Some of the buildings are almost complete and others have pretty much fallen to the ground – about what you’d expect for a village which was deserted in the 1960’s. Once housing around 120, Pratariccia was abandoned as the older inhabitants died out and the youngsters left to seek employment and never returned.
Of course it’ll cost you a fortune to restore, but it’s not often you get the chance to own your very own village and for that €2.5 million is a bit of a bargain.

The chances of ‘Item Not As Described’ claims are endless once someone finds out the hot water isn’t working.
However, the chance of an INR dispute is minimal.
