eBay Italy have reminded all sellers that a aff_link("https://www2.ebay.com/aw/it/201209181229122.html","25% final value fee increase applies to all listings on the Italian sites","","UK"); ?> as of the 19th of September.
Although 25% sounds like a large increase in reality it’s only 2% (or 1%) of the total selling price, but should still make a material difference to eBay’s take. It’s worth pointing out that even with the fee increase final value fees on eBay Italy are still lower than those many sellers are paying eBay in the UK.
In all categories apart from Tech the eBay Italy final value fee rises from 8% to 10%. In Tech categories final value fees will rise from 4% to 5%.
aff_link("https://www2.ebay.com/aw/it/201208201029122.html","Fees on eBay Italy Motors will also rise","","UK"); ?>, to list a car for sale will now cost €9.00 instead of $6.00 and the final value fee for selling a car increases from €25.00 to €35.00.
eBay Italy are also running a promotion for private sellers from the 30th of August to the 30th of November giving them 75 Buy it Now listings per month with free insertion fees.

Bit picky I know but eBay.it are still using the old logo not the example used in the article. Maybe the 25% fee increase is to cover the cost of the logo update in Italy.
Be interesting to learn how Italian ebayers are viewing this increase. The stereotype is that Italians can get rather excitable about such things.
