So you’re an online trader who makes or imports a great product. You’re successful online but you don’t know how to get your product into High Street retailers which could make a huge difference to your business. Today we bring you an opportunity to pitch your products direct and in person to the buyers of the retailing giant John Lewis.
StartUp Britain has joined forces with John Lewis to launch PitchUp and a unique opportunity for British start-ups to get their products into a top department. With Dragons Den style pitching, the finalists will then have the opportunity to work closely with the buyers who will help them refine their products and/or services through a bespoke mentoring scheme, with the aim of seeing their design stocked on John Lewis shelves.
Anna Rigby, head of buying, home accessories & gifts at John Lewis told us “Through PitchUp we’ll be looking for new products and services from emerging British-based talent that will delight our customers. We are particularly keen to find new products that offer innovation, function and unique design combined with a commercial edge and we look forward to working with a range of talented businesses and playing our part in helping to nurture Britain’s future retailing talent“.
Businesses have until the 17th of September to apply online to be in with a chance of pitching to John Lewis at an event which will be held on the 23rd of October.
