eBay Motors have launched a on the site. Now rather than having to rely on title to pick out the correct tyre for your motor you can use the Tyre Finder to narrow down listings to the correct model.
For buyers this is great, for sellers it does mean that unless you’ve filled out your item specifics perfectly your tyres won’t show up to buyers using the Tyre Finder tool. Buyers are able to enter the width, aspect ratio, diameter, tyre type, manufacturer and speed index to narrow down their search so they are the Item Specifics that you need to get right.
Now all I have to figure out is once I have my new tyre how on earth do I get it onto the rim before I put the wheel back on my car?

It would be good to put your car reg in and it show you the tyres to buy. Now I have to get off my backside and look at what I need to buy first
It is a VERY tricky area to get right and not one I’m sure eBay can do if I’m honest.
Car tyres are very specific and can be dangerous if the buyer doesn’t understand the terminology.
The people that buy tyres on eBay are not only the PMR brigade but also people wanting to save money on high street prices (despite what KwikFit and ATS and the likes tell you about their prices they are often the MOST expensive of the lot).
I buy tyres from eBay because I know what I’m looking for, there’s going to be a lot of buyers turning up at their tyre centre to get their eBay tyres fitted to be told that the tyre centre won’t fit them as they’re not the correct spec’….I think.
