eBay sell £1m in 3rd Sunday Spectacular

No primary category set

eBay’s Sunday Spectacular’s just kept on getting bigger and better with sales up 25% week on week. This week eBay sold over a million pounds worth of merchandise, but managed to slow down the sales of the best deals by putting them lower down the page. It didn’t slow sales that much though, the Playstation 3 still sold out all 500 units in just 45 minutes even though it was bottom of the page.

Having products which weren’t quite as desirable as a Playstation at the top of the page didn’t affect sales of the highlighted products, all six of which sold out by midday. Top performing products this week were (by value) the LG 42in HD Plasma TV which shifted 500 units for £124,995.00 and (by volume) the Stompeez Kids Slippers which sold an incredible 4150 pairs for £41,458.50.

Sadly we suspect that this might be the last Sunday Spectacular sale for a while, in previous weeks the countdown timer has immediately started for the following week. Now the page diverts buyers to the eBay Daily and Weekly Deals home page. There are still some great deals there however, so browse regularly for some of the best bargains on eBay in the run up to Christmas.
