I was playing around with Windows 8 at the weekend, desperately trying to get to grips with their new blocky homepage interface. I’m still convinced it sits better on a touchscreen mobile or tablet than a desktop or laptop with a mouse and keyboard, but that’s not what stood out most…
…As an avid eBay users I found the eBay block and clicked to open up the Windows 8 eBay experience (which on the whole isn’t that bad). What is a shame however is that on Microsoft’s newest operating system they’re still selling PCs with the old eBay logo.
I know it’s only a small point, but eBay must have spent a fortune updating their logo across platforms and various media around the world. Now anyone who gets a Windows 8 computer or laptop for Christmas will be shown the retired logo, which despite the initial complaints about the update, does to be honest, at least to me, just look old and tired compared to the new one.
Edited to add: Good news, we’ve just heard that the eBay logo on the Windows 8 app is already up to date. It looks like this is an old Windows 7 app which will be updated in January. If you upgrade to the latest app you’ll not only get the new logo but also the latest features.

Actually this would be EBay’s fault as they created the app, not Microsoft. Check the publisher to verify.
You really need to get a touchscreen laptop/desktop since Win 8 is made for touch.
