eBay have added a new feature to their mobile apps – eBay Daily Picks. The daily picks will run Monday to Friday, noon to noon, and will appear embedded in all versions of the mobile app. You can also view them online at on a mobile device (the link will direct you to the eBay mobile apps page if you use a desktop).
This is the first time I’m aware that eBay have run a specific promotion for mobile devices that wasn’t available on a desktop. The only way you’ll be able to access the mobile daily picks is through your mobile app on an Android, iPhone or iPad or through a mobile browser.
For those without a mobile browser or eBay App to hand we grabbed some screen shots of the new promotion including today’s “Retro Monday” Daily picks.
Mobile is increasingly important to eBay and the Daily Picks look like a concerted effort to drive more mobile downloads of the app through people that want to access the Picks. eBay are also emailing users to encourage them to download a mobile app to access the deals.
