The 2013 Ecommerce Football Tournament

No primary category set

FootballIt’s time to dust off your boots and get your team shirts ready for the kick off in the 2nd Annual Ecommerce Football five aside football tournament. The 2013 Tamebay Ecommerce Cup – Managed by Genie and the Geek will be held at Wembley on Tuesday the 28th May.

Teams are already booking their places and we’ve got 10 slots free for what (if last year is anything to go by) will be a fiercely fought competition. We’ll be revealing the teams as soon as we can, but we know the marketplaces are all entering teams as are many channel management and service companies.

The competition is also open to retailers though. If you’re an ecommerce retailer and have five or more footballing heros on your staff you’re welcome to enter a team. Sign up quickly though, we have to keep the numbers even for the group stages and it’ll be first to commit who get to play and we expect places to fill up fast.

Enter your team to play

It’s going to be five-a-side and everyone in the ecommerce world is welcome to field a team (let us know early if you want to play). Already confirmed are eBay, Amazon, Play.com, MetaPack, ChannelAdvisor, eSellerPro, Brightpearl, Linnworks, and Genie and the Geek, so if you think your company can trounce them on the pitch get set for the kick off on the 28th May.

We can’t promise that rivals will be purposefully pitched against each other, but if you and your adversary both make it to the final we’ll have no choice but to sit back for a (naturally goodnatured!) showdown.

The Cup

It’s not about medals, it’s the glory of winning that counts but of course there is the magnificent Tamebay Cup which was kindly supplied by the guys at www.trophies247.co.uk.

The Tamebay Cup has been displayed in pride of place in Genie and the Geek’s board room. They triumphed in 2012, but it’ll back in Wembley to be presented to the 2013 winning team on the 27th of May. The winning team will get the kudos of stealing the cup and becoming the “2013 Champions of the Tamebay Ecommerce Cup – Managed by Genie and the Geek”.

If you’d like to enter simply email [email protected]. Deadline for entries is either when we’re fully subscribed or Monday 6th May 2013, whichever comes first.
