eBay.com have enabled same day despatch options within handling times. This enables sellers with the ability to cut a day off eBay’s estimate delivery dates displayed to buyers.
Of course it’s impossible to ship once you’re courier has collected for the day so eBay now give you the facility to specify a cut off time. After your chosen cut off time eBay will adjust estimated delivery dates to reflect the fact that you won’t be shipping until the next business day.
There’s no real benefit here if a buyer opts for an economy or standard delivery service. The real benefit is for those buyers willing and wanting to pay for an urgent order to be delivered speedily. If as a seller you wish to you’ll now be able to display that you can deliver via a guaranteed 24 hour service and buyers will see that they can receive the product tomorrow, not as was previously the case the day after tomorrow.
We’re expecting the same day despatch option to be rolled out on eBay UK some time in June. In the mean time if you’d like to get ahead of the game we have spotted that you can already , so that you’re ready to apply same day shipping revisions to your listings as soon as they’re available on the UK site.

I am sorry this is a slight digression. To meet the new TRS requirement you need to offer a free delivery and an express delivery service. Is Royal Mail 1st class considered an express service? Or do I have to offer Special Delivery?
To come back the subject here, it would make sense if same day business and 1st class delivery were considered an express option.
Royal mail 1st is not express i believe.
Tried to edit the cut off time to be met with the message “Your request couldn’t be processed at this time. Please try again later.”. Looks like it’s not available for everybody! Hmmmmm….

Where can this been changed on the site? Does it have to be done on the listing or can it be done as a site preference?
I had a message from ebay saying to update my listings for the latest changes. One of the updates mentioned was the 0 day dispatch time. Problem is this option is not available in my listings?
