PayPal Startup BlueprintPayPal have launched their new Startup Blueprint programme to help the next generation of mobile and web companies grow and succeed.

The upside for participating companies will be PayPal waiving up to $50,000 in processing fees for 18 months. PayPal will also provide dedicated support for developers, by working with companies such as 500Startups, Seedcamp and Elevator.

To be eligible for the programme, startups must focus on making mobile or web software or services, make less than $3 million USD in annual revenue or be less than five years old. Companies must be nominated by PayPal, or 500Startups, Seedcamp and Elevator.

Stan Chundovsky, Head of Growth and Special Projects at PayPal, explained why PayPal launched the Startup Blueprint programme: “Every penny matters when people are starting and running a new company. Many of us here at PayPal began our careers in a startup business. PayPal itself was a very small startup company just 15 years ago. We understand how hard it is to get on your feet, which is why we have created the Blueprint programme, to offer help and expertise to the next generation of developer startups”.

If you’re a developer and would like to find out more about the program visit the PayPal Startup Blueprint website (I’d start with the FAQ as the most informative part of the website).
