As part of their Christmas promotional activities, eBay will be staging a London panto: Cinderella: An Inspirational Fair-Retail. (Did you notice the fairytale pun there? – Ed.)
In what they are billing as the “world’s first shoppable pantomime” the blurb promises it will be “the only pantomime to deliver festive gifting inspiration for the audience in a fun and entertaining way.” Oh yes it is.
Running at the Charing Cross theatre in the heart of London’s Theatreland, the 50 minute public shows will be running across two days – Friday 29th & Saturday 30th November. Seats for the public performances will cost £6 with all proceeds donated to the Laura Crane Youth Cancer Trust, which is dedicated to young people undergoing treatment for cancer.

Interesting idea for a Pantomime but isn’t 50 minutes a bit on the short side. Surely a traditional Pantomime lasts more like a couple of hours. 50 minutes is hardly time for the audience to get warmed up.
What an awful idea.
“this is an interactive shopping experience and tablet computers will be used,”
“children will be exposed to advertisements for products.”
What a lovely Christmas treat for the children. 😐
Tony’ as the fairy godfather, high-kicking routines from the seller protection team and ‘Emma’ as Cinderella?

Check the latest spin from ebay. 54000 buyer accounts suspended. 60000 sellers protected. I won’t state the obvious!
Gawd , aren’t we becoming a cynical lot of ebay haters! Fair dues to them, its innovative and unusual.
The provided link has a tamebay address before it stopping it from working.
Pay your taxes that might help the needy
Reminds me of the old eBay Xmas parties in Berlin Dan!
Singing “Roll Out The Barrel” to a room of stunned, european onlookers.
** silence **
Every bloody year I’d have to come up with some skit to baffle a room of Germans. My Monty Python tribute one year was banned because the Management Team didn’t think it was funny.
