First look at XSellco multichannel management

No primary category set

XSellco featXSellco is one of the newest market entrants in the multichannel management software space, aiming to be the 1st of the next generation of software.

They say that they’ve taken great care with making the system as intuitive and easy to use as possible – customers can, for example, access their system while out and about with tablet and mobile optimised versions, and make changes to any aspect of their business, as required.

XSellco screen shotsXSellco have also placed huge focus & resource into developing tools for importing your listings as efficiently as possible from eBay, Amazon, or your website, thus minimising the effort & time required in order to get you up and running on their system – traditionally the initial inventory set up has been a major pain point within this category, but no longer, as the XSellco team are able to on-board news customers within weeks rather than the 3 – 6 months window traditionally seen.

What areas does it cover?

The XSellco system has several key components:-

  • Warehouse management, which manages your warehouse locations,
purchase ordering, and deliveries. It also includes virtual stock locations which you have from feed or drop ship suppliers

  • Inventory management, which lists all your products in all your chosen marketplaces, and advanced re-pricing tools for eBay and Amazon
  • Sales order processing, and courier integrations
  • Customer relationship management, managing all your customer correspondence across all marketplaces. In fact, XSellco manages all of your customer contacts, creating a record of every interaction you have with a particular customer, and also binds all correspondence and actions to the relevant sales orders
  • Reporting & Net Profit Analysis, more of this below.

What are XSellco trying to do differently?

The core of the Xsellco proposition is that they analyse if you will make a profit on each and every item you sell. Their pricing tools calculate how much profit you will make on every item before you make a sale or listing and they provide real time profit reporting (including all aspects of the cost deck – marketplace fees, software costs, delivery cots, product cost, pick & pack etc.)

Armed with the net profitability analysis Xsellco has been designed to help you choose the products which sell profitably, not only in your current marketplace but by helping you spot selling opportunities for products you already sell on one market, but not another. You can even analyse supplier lists to see which products have the best net profitability, with the least amount of competition.

In addition, Xsellco have developed advanced reporting tools which allow you to analyse your performance in answering customer emails, and even measure your eBay item specifics data quality. And relevant to the burgeoning Cross Border Trade opportunity, the software includes advanced VAT tools, which even alert you on any new VAT registrations you need to make based on the EU distance selling thresholds.

What sort of retailers does it suit?

XSellco works for medium to large size retailers who need the core marketplace management functions, but who also need advanced analytics, real time profit reporting, and CRM tools (and every retailer selling on the marketplaces needs this level of reporting!)

Pricing

XSellco offers a percentage based pricing model, with minimum monthly charges starting at £300 per month.

Implementation fees start from only £900 (with payment spread over three months) and this includes dedicated 1:1 time with a specialist to get you set-up, import all your data, and make sure you are using the system to its full potential.
