We’re hearing that Amazon payments due to hit seller’s bank accounts this week might be late or delayed. Payments cleared by Amazon last Thursday would normally hit bank accounts today, but the money doesn’t seem to have arrived for many sellers.
It’s only two months since the last Amazon disbursements failure, and whilst we know Amazon are good for the cash, it’s still not great for sellers, many of whom will have payments to make early this month due to the bank holidays. If you were intending to pay your staff early before Christmas and relying on the final Amazon payment before Christmas we’re crossing our fingers that it arrives in a day or so.

Mine turned up today, a day late.
I went to the Amazon Forum yesterday and saw that this affected many sellers.
The best conspiracy theory was, as this was the biggest payout day of the year, how much extra interest could Amazon earn on this amount for 1 day!!!

We have had an issue with disbursements 2 years in a row now, on the same week, this week, the biggest disbursement week of the year! (never had it happen at any other time).
Last year they said we did not have enough feedback (!) and did not send the disbursement, it was delayed two weeks, this year they said our debit card attached to the account was not valid (it is, has been for 2 years with 2 years left on the expire date). We added new card details, and have managed to plead with them that this will have a major business impact in what is our biggest disbursement week of the year from amazon if our money is not sent over.
Amazon uk and germany have agreed to send the money over, albeit late by a few days, france won’t agree and is making us wait another 2 weeks, so some of our money is coming over at least. Might be a coincidence it has only happened in the same week two years in a row, lets see if they find another reason next year to not send our money over!
