Invited sellers will be able to list up to 50k items next week for free. The pricing promotion is by invite only and even then requires sellers to actively opt in. The Ts&Cs page can be found here.
It says (in part): “Create up to 50,000 listing(s) (with a starting price of £0.99 or more), during the promotion period, in an eligible category using the fixed price format on eBay.co.uk and you will not pay an insertion fee per listing (promotional rate) during the promotion period when you actively opt in to the promotion via the RSVP link shown in the marketing communication.”
There are several things that are unclear. Firstly, have all the invitations gone out? If you haven’t had one yet, will you be able to participate? Unknown. Don’t forget to check your email and your My Messages inbox.
Also, it remains a mystery just how sellers are being chosen to participate. Bet your nan’s dentures that sellers who can benefit won’t have been chosen randomly. There will be method to eBay’s approach. We just don’t know what it is.

Probably the simplest way of finding out if you qualify or not is the simple one of trying to list something. If it is Free then you qualify if not then you will have the usual charges applied.
That’ll work…not.. Invite only and you have to click a link in the email to qualify..
