Down in Barcelona right now it’s the Mobile World Congress and over the course of these few days each year, there is always a slew of mobile news and announcement.
This year PayPal seems to be stealing some of the limelight. Not least because it has been accredited as the first payments provider to be allowe dto include an app on the Samsung Gear 2. That’s a smartwatch. One of the tech buzzwords right now is “wearable” and a smartwatch is wearable tech.
Apparently, “the PayPal app will allow Gear 2 owners to check-in to pay at local stores, save and redeem offers, and receive payment notifications while on the go,” according to publicity material.
