Myhermes have announced that they will be adding 1000 Payzone outlets to their Parcelshop network. By the end of the year they expect to have 5000 Parcelshops across the UK.
Each retail outlet will be specifically chosen based on a range of criteria which includes extended opening times, parking and population breakdown in order to maximise parcel volumes and provide a valuable service to the local community. All shops will be provided with branded POS and will be featured on the myHermes ParcelShop finder for customers to find in the usual way.
Mark Mellor, Sales and Marketing Director at Payzone UK Ltd, commented: “This is a great new service for Payzone and sits nicely alongside our other basket of services. In addition, it should provide increased footfall and great revenue for retailers adding to their offering for customers whilst providing greater awareness in the local community of Payzone services.”
Rob Edson, CFO at Hermes said: “We already have myHermes ParcelShops at over 700 Payzone stores and are confident that these additional 1,000 locations will also meet our high standards in terms of quality, location and availability. We see our relationship with Payzone as a strategic partnership – the tie up will be instrumental in accelerating the growth of our ParcelShop estate and ultimately providing greater multichannel choice and convenience for our customers in 2014 and beyond.”
