In an announcement today eBay UK have announced that sellers will now enjoy greater flexibility when it comes to amending or editing Fixed Price listings, even if they already have made sales or have a Best Offer pending.
The announcement reads: “Great news! To give sellers additional flexibility, you can now edit a number of aspects of a fixed price listing, even if the listing has a sale or pending Best Offer on it. Starting today, sellers can now change (or add to) the following components of a fixed price listing:
– Title
– Category (primary and secondary)
– Best Offer status
– Pictures”
Full details can also be found on the corresponding policy page here.
This is a useful little change that makes a great deal of sense and represents a small boon for eBay sellers. Here’s hoping it’s coming to the UK soon.

Actually Dan, that may be a .com policy.
On UK I have just tried to amend a title on a BIN with sales (something that the linked page says I can do) – I could not.
I have just increased the price of a BIN. The linked page says only that I can decrease a price.
Either the new rules are not yet live in the UK or simply wrong!
Doh. You’re right. Post amended to reflect that.
Such a shame we cannot edit UK listings, as we have some old listings in Other when eBay have changed the cats & short titles on older listings, both of which I would like to change without losing the item number reference that is mentioned on Forums etc
Unfortunately this is not ebay UK need to take best offer off some listings and can’t hopefully it’s a sign of things to come for eBay uk though. Well fingers crossed!
Yes, please bring this to eBay UK! Not being able to edit titles causes issues with having to cancel well performing listings and relisting them just to make title amendments.
Let’s hope eBay UK take note of this and follow suit.
Yeah, managed to edit UK listings – Titles & categories
The only useful thing eBay have changed in years
