We wrote about this first back in March, in a piece called eBay UK enhances defect reports for sellers and ends anonymous DSRs. So it’s great to be able to give a bit more information. It was generally touted that it would land at the end of April.
As the eBay announcement said at the time: “Starting in late April, the detailed rating system will no longer be anonymous, and you’ll also be able to see which transactions have low detailed seller ratings for item description and dispatch time.”
But what wasn’t clear is how the change would be rolling out exactly. I’m told by eBay that you should start seeing the deanonymised DSRs coming through in the next few days. They will appear in your Seller Dashboard for transactions completed on and after the 27th of April.
So, considering the 27th was Sunday, and today is Friday, that means that there will soon be some appearing in your reports for sales fulfilled this week. Don’t forget that there is a lag on the download being updated when compared to the live dashboard. I believe the download should be updated weekly, but don’t quote me on that.
Deanonymised DSRs won’t be back dated and will apply to transactions made from the 27th April 2014. That means that come the implementation of the Seller Standards in the middle of August there should be 3 months of data available to you and eBay.
Let me know if you’ve seen anything yet.

should be DEMONISED ! DSRS were polishing our knuckle dusters in anticipation LOL
I always thought the purpose of DSR’s was to get sellers to raise their game but anonymous DSR’s meant that sellers could not see who/what they had done wrong. Totally stupid system when you can’t identify which buyer is unhappy!
In this “age of transparancy” its long overdue that eBay made DSR’s visable. This will now also help to stop buyers leaving “false positives”.
Best change eBay have announced in ages. Actually its the only good change!
Maybe the next thing to help professional sellers will be scrapping the retarded defect system and removing PUNITIVE final value fees on shipping (totally outragous and legally questionable!).
So presumably ebay will have to un-ban the sellers who didn’t have the opportunity to block such vindictive/jealous customers /rivals?
