The Telegraph and Amazon have teamed up to produce some new Business content for SMEs.
One of their first joint forays is this infographic below that looks at new businesses and the people behind them. It’s quite interesting.
I guess several heartening things leap out from this infographic. Firstly there’s a good spread of age groups starting up businesses, including plenty of older people. Women too are really clearly becoming a stronger part of the business make-up. But some of the old assumptions still ring true: London and the South East still dominate and men make up the bulk of business people in this country.
