August is ‘Book Month’ at Flubit and they are celebrating books and supporting the work of the National Literacy Trust. We’re a bit late to the party at Tamebay, only just having spotted the news, but there’s still time for you to get involved.
Flubit are asking book lovers nationwide to send them their your own review to appear on the Flubit blog. For every book review (minimum 200 words) sent to [email protected], they’ll donate £10 to the National Literacy Trust and give the you the reviewer a free book of their choice to say thank you!
For those that prefer to Tweet rather than Blog, Flubit will donate £1 for every ‘micro review’ we receiving including the hashtag #flubitbooks. Each micro review Tweet will be entered into a weekly prize draw to win a free book of the winner’s choice up to the value of £10.
Anna Jones, Development Manager at the National Literacy Trust, said “It’s wonderful that Flubit have chosen to raise money for us in this way. Anything that raises awareness of the importance of literacy and encourages reading for pleasure is very worthwhile. The Book Month campaign is a great way of achieving this and will provide vital support for the National Literacy Trust’s work in improving literacy in disadvantaged communities“.
